Commentary on “The Sorceress and the Assassin”: Here it is, in lurid detail, evidence of my role-playing past. Niobe (yes, named intentionally for the Greek myth, as a reference to her undercurrent of sadness) was my first RP character. Morwen was my 2nd, and from there it gets fuzzy. This was based on the Avalon Hill game “RuneQuest” which I still have in my “library” at home. Yeah, I’m a big one for nostalgia. No, it’s certainly not as good as I could do today, but it has an immediacy, a freshness about it which I still like.
